dc.description.abstract | Cooperatives organizations are independent local movement whose structures are embedded in the values, cultures and traditions of the communities they operate. Cooperatives operating in regions with strong social capital bond coupled with better governance and leadership emerged to be more successful in addressing their members economic needs. Cooperatives with low trust, minimal bonding and bridging networks have had very limited impacts on their clients’ economic status. | en_US |
